A review of “Loving Frank” in 100 words by Catherine Stove
At the heart of this novel is this question: what should you do when you’re pulled in two different directions, and one choice comes at the expense of the other? It’s a great premise for a story that relies on suspense. But this book is about real-life people who lived a hundred years ago, and you can find their actual story online. How did she keep people like me reading her book? She wrote great scenes, with flawed characters, and lots of action. I couldn’t put it down. And the ending? It shocked me, the way real life sometimes does.
